Hello, I’m Jedi. I was one of the students of the early Kitty International School and a graduate of Setagaya Elementary School attached to Tokyo Gakugei University. As you know, I like Star Wars. I love animals such as dogs and cats. My pet dogs Belle and Alice were very popular among Todoroki school students 20 to 30 years ago when I was a KIS student.
I was very good at science, especially biology, so I studied at the Faculty of Agriculture at university.
My favorite hobby is watching futsal and soccer games. I also like traveling and I’ve been to many foreign countries such as the UK, France, the USA(Guam, Saipan, L.A., Florida), Italy, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, and Australia.
I guided KIS students to GHS, KIS’s sister school in London, during our “Studying Abroad with Parents” event. I was very moved to see that KIS students would challenge themselves during the high level class, and that they didn’t hesitate to use their English skills to make friends with GHS students, as they would fellow KIS students at home in Japan. From now on, I want to enjoy and learn many more things with all of you.
In my private life, I am a mother to two children. Usually, I devote myself to educational activities, but I also use my previous experience as a Systems Engineer (SE) to manage the KIS website. With all of my previous experience in nursery school, teaching English, as well as raising my own children, I will support your children with everything I have.
こんにちは。ジェダイです。わたしはKISのいちばん最初の生徒の一人で、小学校は東京学芸大学附属世田谷小学校（通称・ガクセタ）を卒業しました。名前からお察しの通り、STAR WARS好きです。犬や猫などの動物も大好きです。私がKIS生だった頃、もう20~30年前ですが、愛犬のベルとアリスは当時、等々力スクールで人気者でした♪私は理科、とりわけ生物が得意でしたので、大学では農学部で勉強していました。私の趣味は、フットサルやサッカー観戦です。
わたしは旅行をするのも大好きで、今までにイギリス、フランス、USA（グアム、サイパン、LA、フロリダ）、イタリア、シンガポール、マレーシア、韓国、オーストラリアなどに行きました。KISの親子イギリス留学では、ロンドンの現地校GHSに生徒をご案内致しました。KISの生徒が現地校の生徒とすぐに友達になってハイレベルな授業にも果敢に挑む姿に、感動しました。みなさまと楽しみながら色々なことを学び、経験したいと思います。
私生活では二児の母です。実は、システムエンジニア（SE）として勤めていた経験もあり、KISでは教育活動のほか、このホームページなども作成しております。子育て経験と保育士経験、英語指導経験の多方面から全力でお子さんのサポートをさせていただきます。

Hello, my name is Katy from Center-Minami campus. I’ve been living in California with my family for 5 years. During the time to think about my next career, I decided to be a kindergarten teacher because I loved my kindergarten teacher. I also wanted to use English again; therefore, I chose KIS as my workplace. I hope I am able to work for KIS together with KIS staff, especially when it is time to exercise so I can teach and support children using my dancing skills, and also to support the parents as close as family.

初めまして、サマーです。私は山梨県出身です。専門学校では児童英語を専攻しました。ほかに秘書技能、サービス接遇、上級救命技能といった資格も持っており、それらは現在の保育の仕事の端々で活きています。
この仕事を選んだのは、何よりも子どもが大好きだからです。KISではたくさんの子ども達、そしてママ達と出会え、楽しい時間をすごすことが出来て、毎日わくわくします！！子ども達への情熱は誰にも負けませんよ！！
また、私には「祭り女」「手打ちうどん娘」「たこ焼き娘」といったニックネームがつくほど、KISのイベントが大好きです。
イベントを通して英語の習得面においても精神面においても成長する子ども達と共に、私も成長し続けたいと思います。

バーニー鳥居／Berney Torii ― Instructor
Hi, I’m Berney. I was born and raised in Japan. My grandmother is Chinese American, my grandfather is Filipino and my father is Japanese. So, I am a mix of those nationalities. My father is Japanese but he was raised in America so, at home, we speak in English, and outside like school I speak in Japanese. My hobbies are watch movies and play games.
At KIS I want to support and help to develop their English ability as much as possible, and I want to show them how English is fun and interesting.

Hello! My name is Sherry and I grew up in Yokohama city. I have been doing hip-hop dance since I was 3 years old so I cannot help dancing whenever I listen to music. Also, I lived in Canada and worked with children there. These experiences made me realize that I love children and seeing their growth. I am very happy to see everyone at KIS learning so many things through English!

Hello, I’m Kelly. Having worked in various professions such as trading companies, kindergartens, foreign banks, and nursery schools, I’ve come to think that it may be my mission to take care of people. When I was reaching retirement age and looking back on myself, I decided to begin work at KIS. It revived my passion which was to convey the world’s culture to children. It made me so happy to be able to get involved as much as possible. I would like to visit various countries and share with children what I have seen with my own eyes. My hobby is golf. I want to go abroad again.
商社、幼稚園教諭、外資系銀行、保育園と色々な職業に就いてきた私の背景には、やはり人のお世話をすることが使命なのかもしれないと思うようになりました。定年を迎えて自分を振り返っている時、KISに出会い、以前から考えていた子ども達に世界の文化を伝えていきたい事が蘇り、少しでも携わる事ができることに嬉しく思っています。色々な国を訪れて自分の目で見てきた事を伝えていけたらいいなと考えています。趣味はゴルフです。また海外へ出て行きたいと思っています。
